Google Plus More Popular Than Twitter – Google+ vs. Facebook

Believe it or not Google+ has surpassed celebrities status update platform of choice Twitter to take the silver medal in social networking!

FACTS:

  • G+ has 343 million active users compared to Twitter which has just under 300 million.
  • 21% of worldwide internet users have Twitter in their tool belt, 25% choose Google+ and Facebook has a whopping 51% market share. As a side note YouTube (owned by Google) is also tied with Twitter with 21% share.
  • GlobalWebIndex (GWI) reported that Mark Zuckerberg’s website hasn’t been affected by “Facebook fatigue” and actually had a 33 percent growth margin in contrast with Google+’s 27 percent growth.
  • In October 2012 Facebook announced that it’s membership surpassed 1 billion monthly active subscribers. Google+ claimed to have reached 500 million users and 135 million active members.

In all honesty I’m somewhat surprised. When I first got a hold of G+ I thought it was too bland and wouldn’t ever have a chance against Facebook. Now the latter may still be true for now, Google Plus has definitely carved itself a place at the table and is not interested in sharing dessert.

This is simply genius! A good buddy of mine told me about this company. He’s actually owned 3 different wraps from these guys for his recently repaired iPhone, he credits Cell Phone Repair Bridgewater Mall for making his iPhone feel brand new. The Elder Scrolls Online – Beautiful Alliances Cinematic Trailer

I love Bethesda and the whole Elder Scrolls franchise, so when my buddy told me about this upcoming game I was excited and prayed that the game would be THE game to play. Not a great title that everyone loves at first and then dies off after a few months. The game that you rush home to play and curse having to sleep. Still not sure what the outcome will be, but the cinematics in this trailer left me beyond pumped.

Personally, I’m almost PISSED. I don’t mean that in a bad way, I mean that the cinematics are so good I WANT to see a movie of this and wish that’s what I was watching. Just a tip to Bethesda, if they made a full length movie just like these cinematics, they’d probably have the new Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter size movie franchise.

New Star Wars Movie – J.J. Abrams Directing

It was a scary day for most Star Wars fans when it was announced that the franchise was being sold to Disney. I thought it was a joke to be honest. That’s the last company I pictured taking it and I certainly hope it doesn’t turn into more of a kids series than what we’ve become accustomed to. Disney acquired Lucasfilm for $4 billion in cash and stock. It will be making the 7th Star Wars movie due for a 2015 release.

Reports say the helm of the new film is to be J.J. Abrams (Lost, Super 8, Star Trek [The Movie]). Initially Abrams himself thought he would be seeing the new film “as a paying moviegoer!” but apparently those tables have turned. He’ll be finishing up his latest movie Star Trek Into Darkness as a director on May 17th.

Last October in a press release announcing the acquisition of Lucasfilm said, “For the past 35 years, one of my greatest pleasures has been to see Star Wars passed from one generation to the next. It’s now time for me to pass Star Wars on to a new generation of filmmakers.”

It will be extremely interesting to see what the outcome of the new film and most likely series will entail. Here’s to hoping it doesn’t bomb and new life is breathed into the franchise many of us grew up adoring. All eyes on you Abrams and Disney!
